Refusal to reimburse

On the 21st January 2013 I decided to place my 1.5 yr old son in a play group called Nanny Poppins in Parkview. It happened very quickly and I was told by the owner to quickly secure my son's place in the play group.By the next day I had been sent an invoice for an entire term, plus 3 months deposit and R800 non-refundable fee. I managed to negotiate 1 month fee 1 month deposit as the full amount was too much for us. We also never signed any agreement with Nanny Poppins agreeing to their terms and conditions. After careful consideration, I decided the affordability would be too much for us, and that our son should rather stay at home until he started preschool. I requested a reimbursement from Nanny Poppins, who refused to pay us our money back, not even a cancellation fee was offered, which we would have accepted given our changed decision. We still await our R3230 back.
