I registered to do my PGCE at Unisa in December. I phoned and was told that I needed to register for certain modules and that I did not have to register for English as I had completed this in my first year. I registered for all my modules and received confirmation on 19th December 2012. I have just received an e-mail saying that my registration is unsuccessful due to the fact that I do not have prerequisite modules completed. I have struggled to find a number to contact someone at Unisa and finally contacted the education department to get a number. Nobody has answered any of the calls I have made to the various 'UNISA registration' numbers. As far as I can see the closing date for registrations is tomorrow and I find it completely unacceptable that they let me know my registration has been unsuccessful the day before close of registration. I would appreciate some assistance with this matter immediately.
