I was at the Unisa building in Parow this morning (31 May) to write an exam and pay for a supplementary exam. The lady that helped me was very nice but unfortunately the transactions on the card machine weren't going through so she called someone else. I greeted the man politely but he just stared at me as if I had broken the machine. He then proceeded to swipe my card and I informed him that it needed the chip reader. The guy actually looked me in the eyes and said: "Don't tell me how to do my job, I work here, I know exactly what to do." Stunned as I was all I replied was that I was trying to help and the card can't work if you swipe it. He then repeated the fact that he worked there and knew his stuff three times!!! He couldn't help me and didn't give me any info on other payment options. This is NOT what a student needs before a huge exam! I will be back to Unisa to find out his name and report him. All I know at the moment is that he was an Indian male with glasses. Terrible attitudes like that could seriously hinder a student during an exam and cannot be tolerated in a UNIVERSITY!
