Swartland Doors
Bad service, defective product

Swartland are not to be trusted, The ten year warranty that they give is not worth the paper it written on... I understand the nature of wood and that there are going to be colour variations in the panels, and that's fine except when you are talking about a set of double doors that are completely different and look like they came from two different sets of doors.

Having spent well over TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND RAND. on the top of the range- Cape Culture, doors, double doors, folding stacking doors, sash windows, including shutters. etc

Swartland have insisted that there is no manufacturing fault, ... I suggest to you that it is a quality control issue, seeing as none of the other 6 double doors have this DEFECT including a 5 door folding patio door. ( all doors and frames are uniform in colour and texture)

I'm writing this as a swartland team is here replacing a door that was deemed by them to be defective when presented with photographic evidence, it was their Representative that picked up the glaringly obvious colour differences between the two doors, took pictures and reported the issue.

I find it very disheartening that a big company like Swartland have such unsatisfactory attitude towards consumers just because they have a virtual monopoly.

I will actively discourage the architect and builder on my upcoming project not to specify or use Swartland products!
