Whirly bird installation

I found a company called KLM COOLING on gumtree. E-mailed them and they were quick to respond via mail as well as telephone. The whirlybird was installed in Summer, not sure exactly when as I didn't receive a receipt. We were told to just call if we have any problems, the fan worked perfect & we never really had rain for about 3 months until December 2013 when it stormed, this was when we saw that it leaks on the side of the extractor fan, So I e-mailed the company as they were quick to reply when they wanted to do the installation and I wasn't sure what the telephone number was and I didn't have any slip to check the telephone number, the company was closed over the festive season and then we called back in January 2014. First the lady confirms they will come out and they will let us know when they in the Mitchell's plain area. Still no feedback from them and we decided to call back again and then all of a sudden we hear that there is only a 3 month guarantee, how was I supposed to know its only three months I don't have a receipt and I checked the site now it doesn't show 3 months guarantee on there or even on gumtree
