Failure to adhere to guarantee

Mr Steenekamp completed work on my roof in March 2011. On 13th March 2013 I contacted Ms Danita Victor at Mr Steenekamp's office. This was nearly 2 years to the date of a 5 year gaureentee being issued. I have been given one excuse after the other and had no contact from Mr Steenekamp. I have emailed and telephoned and had countless promises from Ms D Victor as to resolving the problem. An experienced roofer, from Permatex, stated that the roof needs to be redone from scratch, painted and not spray painted. It is now 2014 and I am no closer to having my problem resolved. Why is a guarantee given when Mr J Steenkamp has no intention of honouring his promise? After seeing all the complaints on this site re Mr Steenekamp and his 'businesses', I wish I had looked before employing him.
