Failed to complete work already paid fo

In July this year Johan gave us a quotation to paint our roof, repair and paint our fascia boards and gutters.
We paid 50% upfront and then waited for the work to start. Work only started 2 weeks after the promised date and then things went really well.

Johan informed me that the work had been completed on the Aug 29 -Thursday afternoon and he requested payment. I was not able to inspect the work until the Saturday - Aug 31 but was happy with what had been done so against my better judgment - I made the payment. Upon inspection on the Saturday I found that one Fascia and gutter had not been painted. I informed Johan of this on Monday the 2nd September and requested that he send someone to complete the work.

It has now been 2 months of continuous nagging to get him to complete the work. He no longer returns my calls and just wont send someone out. We have really tried to be patient. I don't know why he would let a good reputation be ruined by one days worth of work. This just has me wondering if the 10 year guarantee he has given is worth the paper its written on.

I would definitely avoid using Permatex and Johan Steenkamp. After sales service is non-existent.
