Poor workmanship / damage to supplies

Having sourced Renovacon from [URL Removed] and paying a 50% deposit on tiling work in two bathrooms, work performed on the first bathroom was untidy and of poor quality, despite numerous conversations with the tiler and the contractor. The tiler used by the contractor was inexperienced and/or didn't care about quality workmanship. Tiling & mosaic was completely uneven and chipped in numerous places. The tiler used almost all buffer stock purchased to try correct the mess, but the result was still not satisfactory.

After numerous discussions about the state of work and trying to resolve the problem amicably with the contractor, work scheduled for the second bathroom was cancelled. However, the poor state of the bathroom resulted in a new contractor being needed and lots more money being spent on supplies to fix the mess.

After numerous attempts at contacting the contractor to refund a portion of the deposit to pay for the damages caused, he refused and won't return any further messages. Completely unacceptable behaviour, especially given that I tried hard to resolve the matter amicably.

I would suggest not using this contractor for any renovation work!
