Company was contracted to build granny flat. Contractor under quoted to start with. Project exceeded contract delivery date by a FEW months. Contractor made empty promises on a daily basis, and frequent no-shows. Contractor was supposed to take care of legal / municipal requirements in order to get sign-off for occupation - did not happen. Contractor was supposed to get all relevant certificates for this sign-off - did not happen. Contractor uses unapproved sub-contractors and there are still major issues I'm trying to resolve as a result. Contractor did not clean the site after the work was 'complete' and he decided to abandon. Overall a frustrating exercise with many ongoing complications.
