JOHN CHATAIKA OF WENALT CONSTRUCTION IS UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND CORRUPT!!! I paid R175 000 (50% of contract value) R9 000 for architectural services to John Chataika on 25 Sept 2013 for renovations at my home after calling 9 of the 10 references he provided. Over months of discussion, John assured me that he would be on site on a daily basis to supervise and project manage the work. However, he has only been to my home 4 times between 7 Oct and 6 Dec 2013, leaving his workers to work without supervision and without pay. My estimate is that only 25% of the work is completed (value of R58 000.) After weeks of dodging my phone calls and calls from his workers, John resorted to sending an sms that his wife has been!! John agreed that he would refund me the balance but to date has not taken my calls or made a deposit. Wenalt Construction has projects in Soweto, Bryanston and Fourways and according to his workers, he has left all his jobs incomplete after taking deposits, failing to even buying material or pay his workers. As far as I am concerned this man and his entire enterprise is a, money from innocent people. HE IS UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL AND CORRUPT!!
