Undisclosed intentions and conflict of Interest

I sold my apartment and needed compliance certificates for Gas, Plumbing and Electrical. I contacted DOSS who said they would give me a discount if i paid immediately, I did. They then did and inspection and came back with what needed to be done and quote from DOSS to do the work, I was never made aware that they would quote to do the work, if I had known I would not have gone with them as there is a conflict of interest. With regard the quotes the following happened after I got other specialists to check:
1 - GAS - They did not know the regulations and quoted me to do something that was not required, after I sent them the correct regulations they had the cheek to to point out what i now needed to do!?
2 - Plumbing - They quoted to replace a flushmaster that was leaking, after taking a plumber to the apartment we found that it was not leaking, the tenant, also confirmed that it had never leaked.
3 - Electrical - There were items that needed to be done, DOSS quoted an exorbitant amount that I got done for half the price.
I very seldom complain, this is my first entry to Hello Peter, but I have never been tricked like this with the further intention of ripping me off!!!
