Affordable luxury @ R515k -a bargain or a mistake?

We bought a property off-plan from 1 Life Projects in the Eren's Court Development. Their marketing phrase was "Affordable Luxury" as displayed on their website. After we moved in there were so many snags to attend to from toilets that does not work to terrible paint and plastering work. Granted - some of the work was rectified, like the paint and the toilets being replaced (8 months after we moved in), but now they flat-out refuse to do the last of the repair work. We have beams breaking off in fist-sized chunks. They have not even bothered to re-paint where they broke into the walls to replace the toilets etc. Besides for the poor workmanship, we had to deal with horrible attitude from the Developer Morne Strydom himself - he climbed into my husband's personality (which I have a voice recording of) insulting him, and being disrespectful towards me when I tried to state our case in a meeting, ignoring me and talking over me. He even went as far to threaten us to cancel the contract, even though it's not possible as the house is already in our name and we made bond payments. There were so many snags we did not even complain about like garden surface not leveled etc. Dismal!
