Terrible repairs to kitchen kick plates

Installed kitchen skirting (kick plates) in such a way that my four year old could have done a better job. Used nothing but a saw and left it with the left side having an open gap of 2 cm and the right side with a 1 cm gap. And then said he did it in order for the doors to open. Someone saw it the next day and said it was the worst job he had ever seen. Literally only glued it to the existing wood. Costed me twice the initial amount in the end to redo... Such a pity that people actually take money and are happy with themselves afterwards...
