Billing clients for scaffolding hire

We requested a quotation for the hire of scaffolding for a period of 9 days, placed the order for 9 days, during the hire period we increased the period to 13 days - which we were billed and payment made. Talisman did not collect the scaffolding they had supplied and erected after the 13 days - only 35 days later did they collect and then sent us a bill for the 35 days - when querying this they threaten us with a summons if not paid within 7 days of letter and to list us with Transunion credit bureau - we find this very unfair and unethical practice - beware!
