We contracted e-Fence in July 2012 to improve our security system at home (electric fence, internal/ external DSC alarms, and CCTV). They used subcontractors to do the work, and did not do a proper testing nor handover. After they left, the system kept faulting. We consulted Regal, and asked for recommendation on a company to come and test. The company tested and found the outdoor passive in the Lapa not connected to the alarm panel. It was only given 12 V from the PSU supplying a camera looking at the swimming pool. Indoor passives in Main Bedroom, new Office and passage not connected to the alarm panel. These only had power cables connecting them. None of these passives could warn us of any intruder when the system was armed. Joints also not secured, which made it difficult to do proper fault finding. Passives in the extension also not connected to alarm panel; only door contacts were working. In respect of the electric fence, no earth spikes were found at any place, even though they'd been billed and paid for. For the CCTV, a 16 Channel DVR had stopped working. It was taken away and no refund provided. Our complaints, have only resulted in denials and no efforts to make amends.
