No help with tiles - still do not know what to do

1. Woodlands builders - told that Sandstone tiles can be used in and around pool, as long as we apply correct sealer afterwards.
2. Inserted tiles, went to builders to purchase sealer, were told that there are no one at the store today that knows anything about tiles.
3.Went to builders atterbury, were told that matt sealer does not change the colour of the tiles, while gloss sealer does, and also that the same sealer should be used in and around the pool then for the rest of the deck, which is not what we were told initially at woodlands.
3. from Internet research done today, it now seam that this is not true, and that we should have applied a sealer before placing the tiles in the pool. This is now too late... What now?
4. Also, at Tile Africa today (went there out of frustration with both builders stores) were told that matt can change the colour of the tile, and given a brochure on different colours - shows builders not clued up.
5. Already had to spent A LOT EXTRA due to initially being informed by Woodlands branch that we can decide how thick the tiles should be, and only after buying the boxes of tiles we found out that their their thickness are all random!! Extra cement!!
