Brandbild - Not if you want your house completed

We are busy with a residential project of approximately R16.5m. We were obviously looking for a reputable builder that would ensure that our new home would be of the quality that the expense suggests. We got to hear about Brandbild and decided to approach them along with two other builders to quote on the project. After our first meeting with them, we felt that we had found our builders! Full of commitments and problem solvers. We were excited.
What then unfolded over the next 10 months was a story of frustration and. They NEVER stuck to promises they made with regards to timing. They sent their first quote on the 2nd of November 2012, and until today I have not received a revised quote despite numerous discussions and promises. I have finally pulled the plug!
-Every sentence started with "I am not looking for excuses but..."
-The delays were never his fault. Always blaming someone else
-Always complaining that his other projects are so complicated and that he is working so hard - -This should have been a red flag in itself. If he can't manage his other projects, how was he going to manage mine?
It doesn't have to be like that - The other two contractors were a pleasure.
