I purchased a Franco Belge fireplace from Macd Firehouse approximately nine months ago. The fireplace set me back approximately 20k. After using it for approximately a week I accidentally bumped it with my leg and damaged the door hinge. On enquiring about obtaining a replacement door frame. I was told that they do not stock replacement parts for the model which I purchased, but would get back to me. Two days later I phoned Macd in Randburg and asked the owner, Andrew what my options are in getting a replacement door? He immediately got aggressive and when I explained to him that I was not impressed with the fact that I paid 20k for a product and now could not use it because they do not stock replacement parts he got aggressive, shouted on the phone and then put the phone down in my ear. (Here I am, spent 20k, door broke and the importer/supplier puts the phone down in my ear). I phone the CT branch and explained my experience, being a family owned business, I was met with a similar attitude but at least with an assurance that I would have a replacement door within a week. When I collected the door from Andrew a week later I was again met with aggressive (almost bullying) behaviou
