24 hour Warranty offered by Dell is worthless

I bought a DELL Inspiron four months ago. It has been running slow so I called an IT technician in last week who advised that the hard drive was faulty and I must contact DELL directly to replace it under the "24 hour service" warranty. I called the DELL website number, got through to Bangalore Call Centre on Friday 15th March. I was informed that the warranty is on hardware only, the support call had a cost to it!! I had no choice so accepted the option of the "R 1499.00 support for a year". This amount was IMMEDIATELY deducted from my credit card account.
Subsequently I have spoken to various members of the Call Centre, either they worked on my laptop, or instructed me what to do. Since two days ago I have been completely without a working computer. Each day I am told that someone will phone me the next day however this they only do after 4pm in the afternoon. Yesterday I was informed that a technician could only come out to replace my hard drive next Monday 18th. They cannot give me a time .. "sometime between 9am and 5pm". This is not good enough.

Most importantly, this is a full ten days after I initially reported the problem. This level of service is unacceptable.
