On 13 September 2013 I reported a problem with my Dell Alienware M14X laptop. After trying to fix the problem over the phone I was told the motherboard and screen needs to be replaced. Since I have a next businessday warrantee I assumed the repairs would be done on the Monday. Wrong! It took Dell SA untill 28 September to finally replace the parts. Obviously I had to call and ask nicely when they will be able to do it. Unfortunately when I turned the laptop on, on 29 September it now refused to even boot up. Since Dell only supply support on weekdays I had to wait till 30 September to again log a support call. After another 7 days and a lot of calls a technician came to replace the motherboard again, and again it was found to be faulty. Yes that would be the third faulty motherboard, two out of box failures. And after another bach of calls Dell informs me that again they do not have stock and will have to order. I am now in my fourth week with a non-working laptop despite the next businessday warrantee. Please DO NOT buy Dell if you expect service, parts or assistance. Definately do not believe a word they claim on their warrantee1
