I bought a Western Digital 3TB external drive via [URL Removed] a few days ago. After loading all our photos, movies, music and work data and being able to successfully access the files I plugged in this morning only to receive a message telling me I need to format the drive! I called Pinnacle and spoke to Feroz who advised me that they would replace the drive - whoopee! What about the data? Not their responsibility I'm told. I would have to take this drive to specialists for data recovery at my own cost. So in essence I will be out of pocket a further few thousand rand and possibly have lost all the data, the photos, the work and all they are prepared to do is spin a company policy to hide behind. What kind of company does that? At the very least they should be doing their utmost to assist with recovery. What a mistake to buy Western Digital! At least now I know.
