Two of our laptops was due for an upgrade and we thought that we'll spare no expense. We decided to buy the to-of-the-line Alienware series from Dell with the famous "Next Day In-Home Hardware Support" as one of the options. Took delivery of the laptops on 6 Feb 2013 (exactly a week ago). Yesterday, the screen of the one laptop went white (white screen) and after logging the fault with Dell, they said someone will contact me for the repairs. Received a phone call today informing me that the screen might only be fixed on Monday next week (today is Wednesday).
Given that the use of my laptop is a key part of my job, I can no longer fulfil my daily duties and thus are losing valuable income.
Dell is now hiding behind the excuse that they are out of stock.
So why do the offer (at a premium) the next-day-in-home repairs if they can not fulfil this claim?
