On 13 September 2013 I reported a problem with my Dell Alienware M14X laptop. After trying to fix the problem over the phone I was told the motherboard and screen needs to be replaced. Since I have a next businessday warrantee I assumed the repairs would be done on the Monday. Wrong! It took Dell SA untill 28 September to finally replace the parts. Obviously I had to call and ask nicely when they will be able to do it. Unfortunately when I turned the laptop on, on 29 September it now refused to even boot up. Since Dell SA only supply support on weekdays I had to wait till 30 September to again log a support call. It is now after business hours on 2 October and I still do not have a working laptop or have even heard from Dell. The Dell Alienware support guys in Slovakia (yes, if you call Dell you get passed to a support centre in India, that passes you to the specialised Alienware support centre in Slovakia) know me by name already, but Dell South Africa cannot be bothered to contact me. I am not joking when I say the guy in Slovakia was almost in tears when he heard my problem has still not bee resolved.
