Defective laptop - less than a year old

I had taken a contract with Altech Autopage which consisted of the HP laptop, cellphone and a 3G card, 3 months after the purchase the laptop refused to switch on. I had called Autopage PAvilion who then referred me to a company called Pinnacle based in Springfield, Dbn. The laptop worked for a month and thereafter the screen went blank. I had taken it once again to Pinnacle, the agents had told me that the main board, processor & memory needed to be replaced. The laptop is not even a year old and it is a concern since these problems had occurred in less than a year. I had purchased this laptop for work purposes and it is quite an inconvenience to continuously pick and drop a laptop a few months old and not have a laptop to work from! I tried calling Autopage Pavilion to get some guidance on the matter but none of the staff new anything. I would like to know whether this laptop can be replaced, else I would like to know what happens going forward as this is having an impact on my work as well as the time and effort taking this laptop in for servicing every second month
