I took my Asus TF101G tablet to Asus in September 2012.

Sibu told me that the motherboard needed to be replaced and that a new one would cost R2K or I could have a refurbished one fitted for R1K - I opted for the latter.

Grace said that she would contact me once it was repaired - I waited until early December. I phoned Asus and was told by Grace that the case had been closed in October! The tablet hadn't been fixed and she spoke to Sibu who said he would fix it ASAP - again Grace was going to call me back once it was fixed!

Now it's 11th Feb 2013 and since I hadn't received a call I phoned Asus again and spoke to both Grace and Sibu.

Sibu now says that he would have fitted a refurbished board at the time but now they don't have any so I would have to pay R2K for a new one!

So... I've been waiting to get my tablet fixed for 5 months, have had no feedback and now I have to pay twice as much as originally quoted.

As much as I love Asus' products, it's the last time I buy Asus in South Africa! I don't think I've ever received such bad service.

I was considering upgrading to an Asus TF700, but may have to rethink - it's a shame because it's the best tablet on the market.
