Bought a fairly expensive Ultrabook in February. From day one, the wifi was erratic. I sent the unit back to Asus, who phoned and said I had uninstalled a driver? I hadn't.
In the interim, I bought another laptop, as Ii cannot work without one, and transferred all my data to that and started using that. When the Ultrabook was eventually returned, it seemed Ok. About a week later, I tried using it, and the erratic wifi problem was back.
I phoned them, and was given a huge runaround, not even being able to speak to anyone except the call centre.
2 weeks later it was collected, after I send a complaint to Asus international. (Which was only responded to in 3 days) Since then I have been told that the unit had a loose wire???
I queried this and asked to speak to a senior person. They were all busy, but someone would get back to me in ten minutes. It is now 4 days later Nothing. I have sent another complaint to ASUS international.
Nothing yet.
This is the most disgusting service I have ever come across in the computer field. They take your money, and then ignore you.
This to me is as close to as can be.
I will have to take this up with the consumer protection people.
