Unauthorised Charging

On scrutinising my cell phone bill, I found charges coming off at strange hours of the night (twice per night). the amount for one month totalled R66 . On querying with my cell phone provider they told me I needed to sort it out with Victorious Technologies, as I had 'obviously subscribed to their service'.
When I phoned VT they merely asked what my cell phone number was and who my service provider was, confirmed they had it on their system and with no questions told me they would refund the R66 at the end of the month (which to their credit they did).

My point is they CHARGED MY ACCOUNT for a 'service' I had never subscribed to.

When checking with my cell provider that the money had been returned, I told them that they need to make note of this and they said they are fully aware of this company doing this. Sadly they are not the only ones, she rattled off about 5 other companies that are doing the same!

So check your cell phone bills - companies are making money off you for doing absolutely nothing!
