Dell's failure to keep to warrantee

HDD on Dell laptop went bad, phoned support for 'next day on site warrantee repair' on 02/01/14 @ 9H00. Spoke to Davin. He said they would not send someone the Friday, allowing me time to get someone to retrieve the data from the drive. Booking was made for the Monday, and was confirmed via phone & email. Someone was suppose to phone me before 10 am to arrange time.By 11h00 I phoned the support centre, only to be told they have a stock problem and they 'might' be able to do it Tuesday. This I cannot understand as we confirmed stock on Friday? Spoke to a manager, Susan who told me they actually had a technical problem and could not book the call, but no-one phoned or emailed, they just left me hanging. This is really sad, as This is my third Dell, and I usually pay the more expensive price, wrongly believing their next day on site promise. I even offered to go to Incredible Connection where I bought the laptop and pay for the HDD out of my pocket, then Dell can just refund me, but they are not interested. Dell does not honor their service agreement and just expect you as customer to shoulder the inconvenience and costs incurred!
