This submission is aimed at Cell C and Samsung, but I have chosen to post it on the HelloPeter page in the hope that it will reach more readers.
About three months ago, I had cause to log complaints against Cell C and Samsung, and used the HelloPeter forum. The complaints were totally unrelated, yet the response (or rather lack of response) from each of these companies were identical.
After logging my complaint, I received the standard automated next-day reply telling me that I would be contacted, and in both cases, I was indeed contacted within the next couple of days. After hearing my story, each of the consultants promised to look into my complaint, and promised to get back to me with a resolution. They may even have attached their response to this effect on my original complaint, I can't remember. But in each case, it went no further, I've never been contacted subsequently, and my complaints are still alive and well and awaiting resolution.
So clearly, what I think these companies are doing is simply using the site to show that they are RESPONDING promptly, but there is absolutely no follow-up on as to whether or not RESOLUTION has taken place.
