They Broke My Motherboard

I was referred to LCD Consultants by Matrix towards the beginning of April for the laptop troubles I had been having at the time, namely a broken screen and hinge. Originally my laptop was in the hands of Themba at LCD, who was quite helpful; however, Garth who has subsequently left the company took over the laptop, for what reason I still don't know. Weeks past as I waited for a quote, until I was informed that he had indeed fixed the hinge, but had to take the laptop apart 8 times to do so, a fact that simply boggles my mind. Eventually, after no one from LCD returned calls or got back to us, I decided to fetch the laptop. To my dismay not only was the screen still broken, but literally everything but the keyboard and USB 2.0 ports was not working. I phoned the owner, Herman, who promised to meet with me on numerous occasions, but never did. I have now been quoted by another company, and it turns out that LCD have broken the motherboard. Repair costs will cost in the realm of R4000 and I refuse to pay such a steep price when the laptop was broken by another company - I kindly request that these problems are resolved in some form or fashion before it is taken further.
