Replaced breakpads within 3 mnths of purchase

I bought a Nissan Grand Livina floor model from Nissan DTM in August 2012. One month later I reported to the dealer, who left that branch and moved to Hermanus that the car shudders when going downhill and I brake. He asked me to bring the car in to the Nissan dealership in Hermanus where I live, which I did, and said everything should still be under the 6month guarantee. I was then given an account of R2000 to settle, which the dealer brought down to R1100 and said he would get the money back from the branch where the car was purchased. Now they refuse (the dealers where the car was bought) to refund the money as I had not taken the car into their branch for initial investigation. I think it is disgusting, it doesn't matter where the car was repaired it was still under guarantee from them. (DTM in Strand) I did not buy the car "voetstoots" I bought it as 100% functional, no defects were mentioned.
