I purchased a Navara 2.5 Diesel in Dec. 2012. After a few months I experienced a serious problem. While driving, the engine would cut out completely and I had to try and pull off, irrespective of where it happened, restart it and go again. I took it to Menlin Nissan on 2 occasions, but after a few days the problem was back. On 16/05/2013 I took it to Welkom Nissan, who found 3 problems. which were fixed. The 17th I travelled to Pretoria and all went well. Saturday, the 18th CHAOS! At some stages I could only travel a few meters and it would cut out, I phoned Nissan`s Emergency No. and spoke to Cindy. She offered to have it towed in and then Melin could try and fix it on Monday. I explained that I had to be back in Kroonstad on that Monday. Her reply: "Sorry, they don`t work on a Saturday, " Out of despiration I took it to a Bosch dealer where a very helpfull Sias du Toit fixed it. It is still going very well. I phoned Nissan Welkom and reported what happened. They requested me to bring it in the next day to make sure it is 100%, so that the guarantee would not be jeopardised. I had to PAY R2200 because it was NOT COVERED by the guarantee!!!
