Motorplan registered to another vehicle

Cars & Transport

I purchased an Opel Astra twintop 2010 from Williams Hunt Bellville in March of 2011. The vehicle had 14500km on the clock and had just had it's 15000km service. Understanding that included with the car is a 5yr maintenance plan until 2015. When I took the car for its 30000km service, they had problems but it was sorted out. When I returned for its 45000km service, I was told that the plan had been cancelled. Apparently, my vehicles engine number was registered to a 2007 maintenance plan. After discussing this with GMSA, they agreed that it was a fault on their side and that the problem had been sorted. It's time for my 60000km service and guess what, same problem. The response from Avis Fleet:

" I have sent an email to GM South Africa to confirm the first date of registration. The attachment that you sent me, if you can check below the date of liability for first licensing. It does state that it's not the year model. "

The vehicle was first registered in 2010, but they are trying to say that it's actually 2007 model? Which means it stood for 3yrs not being driven?

I do not care if they do not respond to this, but they will respond to my legal team. This is RIDICULOUS!!
