After booking in my Audi for a Cambelt change & a repair to the window mechanism on the 02nd April I got an appointment for the 5th April. Alpine has my car details on their system so knew what model Audi was coming in. I brought in the car at 07:00am and told them what needed to be done. At 3pm I received a call that the replacement would cost R7000 which I agreed to. They then asked if they should order the parts! What had they been doing the whole day? These parts only came in on Tuesday. After phoning and enquiring about my car on Wednesday, I was told that it would come after a car that was in since Monday. I mentioned that mine was in since the previous Friday.
I received the car back at lunch time on Thursday 11 April! They were kind enough to give a 10% discount on the labour costs and apologised profusely. There was also no Courtesy car available for this huge delay.
As I am about to purchase another Audi, I refuse to go back to Alpine Motors after similar mishaps in the past. Many colleagues I have spoken to, have also had similar bad experiences with Alpine and refuse to go back.
