Poor service from Thrifty, Rip off for tyre

I hired a car at Thrifty car rental Durban on the 24th of January 2013. flew in from cape town and collected the car blue polo, I then drove to the natal midlands to visit family and over night the tyre went flat, I then took this tyre off and had it fixed at Hi Q in Nottingham road, the tyre only had 2mm of tread on it, hence this was a well used tyre, I then returned the car to Thrifty car rental and told them that I had had a flat tyre and had fixed it, there was no issue there but when it came to paying my deposit back R1200 was deducted for this tyre. I then asked my father to follow up on this issue and it was agreed that the money would be paid back, I HOWEVER have not yet received this money back. The money was deducted off my card with out my approval or without notifying me, very questionable!!! I have since spoken to Rina Govender at thrifty Durban airport, since have emailed but no reply, thrifty's service really really does encourage customers to come back!!! due to the tyre having 2mm of tread on it (new tyre 8mm tread), increasing the chance of a puncture to occur... I request that i get a refund for this!!
