General Motors South Africa
Poor service and even worse attitude

Cars & Transport

I bough a new bakkie from GM in Oudtshorn in Feb (I live in JHB). Last week Tuesday, the battery died. The vehicle had to be towed to the nearest dealer (which was unfortunatly Isando). The road side call centre assited me properly, but after that no service and a lot of. I phoned Isando to confirm reception of the vehicle - they didn't know it's there. The call centre confirmed delivery to Isando. I phoned again, they had to search for it. No feedback on the problem. Next day I phoned - no feedback. Later that day I phoned - no feedback. They said it's on the ramp looking at it. I went there unannounced - it was parked way at the back under a canopy. They took a week to Analise the bakkie. After many unanswered calls and messages I got hold Byron (service advisor) and he said the battery is out of stock, they will fit a small one and vehicle is ready for collection. My wife went to collect at 11h - bakkie not done! After waiting they gave her the keys to go. Not signing of anything or giving her a warranty etc. The left hand is not aware what the right hand is doing there. They lack communication and dedication. Because I didn't buy the bakkie at Isando I got POOR service and BAD attitude!!
