I bought a car from VW Mooi street October 2012 and that car had issues from day 1. I took it in for inspections and Enoch confirmed that all was fine from their angle. It had electronics related issues with a faulty mobilizer, alarm and brake light failing to turn off even if the engine was offline. On the 11 February 2013 whist I was asleep the car busted into flames and was awoken by the alarm thinking that someone is tampering only to discover that it was in flames and I distinguished the fire however the engine was burn to pieces. I took it back to VW and they declared it as a write off and was hoping for compensation as I had reported the issues that might have triggered the fire. I paid R20 000 deposit for the car of which it wasn't in a good state. I escalated to Enoch who was unfortunately incompetent cause he failed to give me a spare key, service log book and he never bothered to follow up on my grievances. VW Mooi ripped me off and I am hoping to hear from them and assist me in getting a replacement as per the above stated factors.
