I called Mercedes Benz for information of a vehicle before purchasing it. They faxed me information confirming that the vehicle is under its service plan and warranty at a known mileage of 68512kms (7400kms over its due service). After being told by Mercedes that the vehicle is under its servrice plan and warranty and that its safe to buy I went ahead and purchased it. After buying it I immediately tok it to Mercedes for its service that was overdue.

To my dismay they told me that they are voiding my warranty because it was overdue for its srervice by 8400kms only 800kms more than what they had known it to be.

I have waste over 2 weeks pleading my case to them with no sucess of them accepting responsibility.

Their reasons are as follows :
On the day I called Mecedes their system did not reflect the overdue service. This is because the branch of which worked on the car last forgot to mention on the system that the car was over its service by 7500kms.
Mercedes negligence and incompetence has caused me this inconvenience of either spending R14000 for its due service that they initially told me was covered and legal costs to try and claim this money back.
