My car went in for repairs today at 10h00. On Monday I spoke to my insurance company about my rental car for the period that my car will be unavailable, they had arranged it with budget, and assured me Budget would contact me. Budget made 1 attempt to contact me, on Monday I had a missed call from a private number which I could not answer as I was in a meeting. No voicemail was left and no further attempt to contact me on Tues or Wed was made. When they were not at the panel beaters today at 10h00, I called them. After speaking to the agent and her supervisor, I was told that they tried over and over to contact me, left a voicemail, I am lying, and I will have to wait at the panel beaters until 16h00 when they will have a car available for me. No attempt was made to make a plan. An employee at the panel beaters overheard me on the phone and advised me that a car from Budget Centurion was currently there, awaiting collection, and organised for me to take that car. I am so disgusted with the way Budget treated me, as though everything was my fault, when they were to blame. The fact that a car was available at my location shows a complete breakdown of communication and professionalism
