Traffic Violation on a Test Drive

Took my vehicle to this motor mechanic last year who basically claimed that the mechanic who worked on my car previously was the one who did majority of the damage.
There was mis-communication but eventually the car (we believed) was repaired after we had to pay R8945.
After we paid, we could not get hold of the mechanic and the house looked deserted, no sign of my car either. We then discovered he had gone away on a bike rally. He had told us the car would be ready by the Weds so why could we not have collected it before he left?
When I collected the car, he told me he had taken it for a proper test drive ie 300kms so he had to put in R100 petrol. He drove out the R250 he charged me to put in?
So then we get a traffic fine in Dec for R800, it was on a Friday and the Mon thereafter was when he put in the R100. So where did he take my car that weekend?
When I told him that I would be re-directing the fine, his wife calls me to ask if I can send it to her and she will ensure it is paid. She questioned if there was a photo as according to him the car was not driveable? I did not have the car.
The fine has not been paid as yet and he ignores my messages so now I go to Metro.
Shocking!
