Kevin Veeran
Engine blew up with in 15 Mins

Cars & Transport

We bought a VW Kombi from Kevin Veeran, a private person. We paid 41 000 rand for this vehicle. We were 15 mins into the drive home and the engine blew up. We phoned him about it and he said he would send his mechanic to help us. We ran around with our other car to buy spares for the blown water pipe, but on starting the car the engine was blown too. He took our first two phone calls and ignored us the rest of the day. At 4.30 pm, we phoned him to tell him we are now really off and are going to tow the Kombi to his house and drop it there and we want our money back. On arrival, he said he no longer had the money which I think was bull. He said he would repair the engine and we must pay half for it. Has anyone got any advice for this issue apart from going there to his house and beating the s@@t out of him... He to us on viewing day about the license. It is expired and he said he had the disc at the house. When we went to pay the Kombi, he gave us 500 rand to back pay the license. He is a and a cheat. We now have no money and no possession of the vehicle we paid for. I dont trust him with repairs and its not even in his name. Its someone else.
