I bought a used vehicle from Emond Delta in Durban North. I knew exactly what I was purchasing or so I thought. The car is 6 years old.
I paid an additional amount of R3500.00 to have the vehicle registered in my name. In the meanwhile they have given me a temporary license. The vehicle was handed over to me on the 8th Jan 2013. Today is the 2nd february and the temporary license has expired 6 days ago. Devesh, the salesman has promised more than once to call me back about the delivery and fitting of my new license plates, but the vehicle has not even been registered to me as yet! I am a business owner and now have to break the law to drive my vehicle to get to and from work. Further to this, my insurance will not pay if something happens to the vehicle as it is not registered to me as yet.
Great stuff, but it gets worse. The sales manager, Vijay actually hung up the phone on me when I got into an arguement with him over this as well as an incendent where the vehicle engine caught fire, yes you read right, the engine caught alight! he was not interested and told me to contact my insurance!
I phoned and complained to Ray Emond, the owner.4 days later, still waiting 4 his call?
