ABSOLUTE RIP OFF

SO i go in to get a quote on what was wrong with my handbrake. the guy says that both front and back brake mechanisms need to be replaced and that it will cost over R4000 to fix. I felt that this was highly unlikely as my father is a mechanic who says its impossible for both to accidently brake without major accident. So i took my car to a toyota dealership who confirmed that in fact it was only the back brakes that needed replacing and it cost me R1400! Now either they intentionally tried to rip me off or they are completely incompetent.

I would suggest going elsewhere for car repairs, or at the very least get a second quote from a reputable supplier.
