We purchased a VW Transporter 4motion from them in June 2011. The powersteering rack and -pump was faulty. The vehicle could not be operated for 3 weeks in the first month. We took it for an independant AA technical test within 1000 km after the purchase which showed serios defects. 4motion not working, powersteering pump and rack needs to be replaced and the A/C is out of order. The windscreen is so scratched I cannot drive at night. An independant expert inspected the vehicle a year later and deemed it unroadworthy and dangerous to drive. Quotations obtained by me to repair the vehicle is in the region of R 80 000. After appointing an attourney (R60 k later) we are on our way to the High Court.

I got hold of the previous owner and I have proof that he acquired quotations to repair the defects on the vehicle. The quotation was not accepted. The vehicle was sold by him for R 65 000 on a tender and we purchased it a week later for just over R 200 000. A neat profit I would think. Inspectacar's head office is not interrested in the least. We can not really use the vehicle and we cannot afford to purchase something else.
