Refusal to pay for service costs

In January this year I purchased a used vehicle from the above dealership in Pretoria. After I paid a deposit, I was informed that the vehicle would be taken for a test. I collected the vehicle and after a few days heard a squeeking sound from the rear wheels whenever I braked. I took back the vehicle to the dealership and was informed that it was a common problem with the type of vehicle I purchased and that I could still drive - 1000 kms before the brake pads needed to be replaced. I subsequently drove the vehicle to Limpopo and back to Pretoria and noticed that the brakes started shuddering. I took the vehicle to a Nissan dealership and was informed the fronts disks and pads needed to be replaced immediately. The total costs to replace the disk and pads was just over R5000. I immediately enquired from the dealership why the problem with the disks was not noted and fixed when the vehicle was taken for a test. I was informed that the testing station did not pick up the problem and that because I had driven more than 1 000kms since I took possession of the vehicle, they would not pay for replacement of the disk. I have also not been informed which company inspected the vehicle
