Over charged and forced to pay for a quotation

I service my vehicle at John William's, as per vehicle warranty requirements, so I went in to enquire about a quote for service and a blown hooter fuse. Remember the vehicle is no longer under maintenance warranty.

I left the vehicle for an inspection qoute and was later phoned to say: service plus horn fuse repair would be R6192.15.Feeling that was too much I stopped them from working on vehicle and when I came to fetch it, I was told to pay R480.00 as cover for the quote done which would be rescinded if I later gave approval for the job to done.

I later took it to another garage where they did the job as quoted for R2680.65.

My gripe is that this shows that we are milked at this garage.
