Neglegence has caused damage to my engine

Cars & Transport

In march 2012 my turbo on my Jeep Wrangler broke and I took in to Bosch to be replaced. The km's on the car was 79219. We asked them to replace the turbo and service the car simultaniously as the car was due for service at 80000km. The service booklet was stamped. On further inspection of the invoice, we realised that we were not charged for the service. We enquired and were told that the service was not done, which, in my view, constitutes. The car was taken back and the service was performed. In dec 2012 the car was taken back after many complaints about the car smoking and further investigation on our own, and the visco fan was replaced and the turbo pipe replaced. The pipe leading to the radiator and was not attached properly and on our first trip with the car, the water was pouring out and the car overheated. After many returns to the bosch, we were just told there is nothing wrong. After further investigation it was determined that the enigine needs an entire overhaul which will cost us almost R100000, this was caused by the overheating of the car. We have laid complaints and sent emails and have even had meetings with regional manager. Now we are going the legal route!
