! QUICK TO TAKE R33k BUT 4 MONTHS WITH NO CAR

Cars & Transport

4 Months ago (10th July) I took my car to Bosch RANDBURG DIESEL & TURBO due to a lack of power to my car. A diagnostic was undertaken & after they replaced the camshaft & crank sensors (R6, 100), I arrived to pick up the car (25 July). Upon fetching my car I proceeded to drive 50m from their workshop & my cambelt snapped causing subsequent damage. The car was then taken BOSCH STRIJDOM PARK AUTOCARE on the 29th July. They proceed to fix the cambelt for R5, 000 and then charge R22, 400 for Oilfilter, Intake Valves, Exhaust Valves, Lifters, Headset and Engineering.

After a TOTAL OF MORE THAN R33, 700 paid to the 2 Bosch companies, the problem of No Power still persisted, which is the same problem I had in the FIRST PLACE!!

Over the next 5 weeks (18 Sep - 22 Oct) Bosch Autocare tried to fix the car. After Christo admitted that they don't know how to solve the problem, I suggested they take the car to VW to get it fixed (at Bosch's expense), which he agreed to do. VW have since isolated the problem, but Bosch do not want to cover the costs.

This is outright! How can Bosch take R33k from a consumers money and string them along for 4 months with no end result in sight!?
