BAD AFTER SALES CUSTOMER CARE

Cars & Transport

October 2010 we purchased a Ford Focus 2008 (Nov.edition) at Barloworld Armstrong N1 City. Early 2012 we noticed that the protective layer over the paint is pealing all over the car. I called the store and spoke to a lady at the repair/service. We missed the inspector from PE by one day, but he comes to the branch every month&that the paint should be under warranty. We only got to see the inspector 2mth later, because she forgot to call us the1st mth. He agreed that it was a paint defect&we should speak to the Manager. The Manager was not in that day, but we could call him the next week. Upon calling him we were asked to bring the car in. He told us that it was the previous guy they used to do the spray painting that messed up, but they have a new guy now. We were told it will cost R4000 to respray only the 2drs and bonnet&we must contribute R1000? We also informed them of a small gap on our windscreen that the air and water is coming through. We were told it will cost R400 at a Glass fitting place. The cost is R3000 to remove&reseal, as we need a mould for the rubber. We thought if we bought a car from a DEALER we will NOT be CHEATED! BUT CLEARLY WE WERE WRONG! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!
