Spare wheel and dishonest

Good morning,

I would like to query my mothers experience with Mercedes Constantia Kloof (West JHB)

We have had 5 Mercs which all ran fine until I recent experience.

Is it normal after 81K for the shocks to be replaced?
( We were told yes)

Is it normal for our spare wheel to be and replaced with a old and incorrect one?? Mercedes still had the cheek to tell my mother that " Maybe one of you kids took it"

That would me??! What am I going to do with the spare wheel?
Wear it around my neck like a necklace??

I found this very suspect as we were were going to purchase a new car?

The vehicle came it for power steering problems.
